Rapeseed

Kaiima is developing high-ploidy high-yield rapeseed including Canola varieties in cooperation with the Anhui Academy of Agricultural Sciences and with Chinese private and government agencies.

The goal of the project is to use CGM™ to enlarge average seed size, increase the number of seeds, and raise their oil content to help achieve substantially higher overall yields.

The program, which is ongoing, has already produced a number of highly productive high-ploidy parent lines, and the first group of hybrids is being currently tested.

Rapeseed multiplied using CGM™ shows high fertility and increased productivity compared to its isogenic control.
