Castor

Kaiima uses advanced and proprietary genomic-based breeding technologies to develop high yielding castor for the bio-diesel and bio-polymers industries.

Our varieties are suitable for large-scale mechanized farming and harvesting on marginal land. We emphasize compactness as well as drought and salt tolerance.

Our 1st generation varieties can provide yields in excess of 7 tons of seeds per ha per year. With our 2nd generation varieties, we expect to demonstrate yields of more than 10 tons per ha per year. Our 3rd generation varieties are in development.

We are continuously running semi-commercial tests in various locations around the globe, and some of our varieties are commercially available .
